What should I keep in mind when uploading my files?

In order to get the best results, your picture or graphic should correspond to the following requirements:

• Valid file formats are .png, .jpg, .bmp or .tif
• Minimum resolution of 200 dpi, prefereably 300 dpi
• Maximum file size is 10MB

The size and resolution of your graphic can be checked and modified in most photograph editing software, such as Microsoft Office Picture Manager or Photoshop.

What is the recommended picture size (pixels and/or dpi) to use for my uploaded image?

3543 x 4134 pixels and 300 dpi - a large, quality print on an XL t-shirt with approximately 30 x 35 cm

1181 x 591 pixels and 300 dpi - for a company logo of 10x5 cm (as printed on the shirt)

The size and resolution of the design/image can be adjusted and reviewed in any editing program, for example Photoshop.

What is digital printing?

If your garment is printed with digital print, then special ink is sprayed directly onto the product. As the color dries, it fuses with the fiber of the shirt. As it is printed without foil, it creates a soft and very comfortable garment. This type of printing is mostly used to print uploaded customer designs. Due to different textile properties, we cannot offer this type of printing for all textiles we offer.

What is flex printing?

This type of print is done with the help of a thin foil. The design is cut out, and then it is fused with the respective substrate, using high pressure and temperature. This type of printing is not available for uploaded customer designs.

What is flock printing?

The basic principles of flock printing are identical to that of flex printing. The motif has a soft, plush effect. This type of printing is not available for uploaded customer designs

What is sublimation printing?

With a sublimation printer, a special ink is printed on coated paper, which is then applied to the material using pressure and high temperatures. The end product must be 100% polyester or have a smooth surface (e.g., ceramic or aluminum). This type of printing is the default setting for certain products (e.g., mugs, white polyester sport shirts, pillows, etc.).

Can we print using other color systems (e.g., Pantone colors, HKS, etc.)?

Due to differing production techniques, we cannot guarantee reproduction of Pantone and HKS (or other color system) colors. Therefore, it is not possible to reproduce the exact same color values.

Should I submit my image in CMYK or RGB colors?

You may submit an image in both CMYK or RGB colors. However, all images will be shown/previewed online in RGB colors. As a final step, the digital print will be printed in CMYK.

Why does my garment have a strange smell and/or a slight discoloration around the print?

Due to the processes used for digital printing, the product may initially have a strange smell and/or have small patches of discoloration around the print. Both the discoloration and the smell will disappear after several washes. If the smell or discoloration do not disappear after several washes, then please send us an e-mail with picture via our contact form.

How do these residues get on my article?

When colored textiles receive a digital print, they must be chemically treated. Without this chemical, the print will not adhere to the textile. The substances we use are harmless and ÖKO-TEX Class-1 certified

How should I wash a Shirtinator garment?

In order to get the best out of your garment, please care for it as follows:

  • Wash before use
  • Wash at 30° C
  • Do not use liquid detergents
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not iron on a high heat
  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Wash inside out
